YA Guy Launches... THE LAST SENSOR!

YA Guy is thrilled to announce the VIRTUAL launch party of The Last Sensor, the final book in the Ecosystem Cycle!

Yes, that's right, I'm launching the book via Facebook live stream. The event takes place this Thursday, April 16, from 7:00-9:00 PM (EST) at the following Facebook event page:

The event is public, so anyone on Facebook can listen in. There will be readings, Q&A, giveaways (of e-books to be safe), and other merriment. It won't be quite the same as a live launch, but it does have one nice wrinkle I've never used before: two of my writing friends from Pittsburgh will be joining me! Also, anyone who wants to purchase a signed copy of the book can order it through the bookstore that's co-sponsoring the event, Riverstone Books, at this web page:

Specify whether you want to pick the book up in-store or have it mailed to you, and once Riverstone reopens, they'll take care of the details. (P.S. I know the link says "Pre-order signed copies of Josh Bellin," but trust me, it means pre-order signed copies of my BOOKS.)

Come join us!

YA Guy Launches... HOUSE OF EARTH, HOUSE OF STONE!

YA Guy was happy to find a big box o' books on his doorstep a week ago, heralding the arrival of copies of HOUSE OF EARTH, HOUSE OF STONE, the third (and hence final) book in the Ecosystem Trilogy.

That's a lotta books, isn't it?

Anyway, today--Earth Day, 2019--is the book's release date. (The first book in the series, Ecosystem, released on Earth Day last year, with the second book, The Devouring Land, tucked in between.) I'm personally very proud of this series, into which I poured a lot of my heart and soul, and I hope readers will enjoy its futuristic vision of an Earth in which the natural environment has become a collective sentience bent on humankind's destruction--and of the brave people who try to come to some sort of reconciliation with Nature. Yes, it's an allegory for our times--but even more, it's an exciting adventure story with a fiery protagonist, tons of action, and really cool monsters. So check it out and order a copy today!

Or, if you're in the Pittsburgh area and would like a signed copy, you can check out the book's launch party, which takes place next Tuesday, April 30. Here's all the information you need:

I hope to see some of you at the party, and I look forward to hearing from you about your reaction to the Ecosystem Trilogy!

YA Guy Launches... FREEFALL!

YA Guy's newest science fiction novel, FREEFALL, hits the shelves next month (September 26, to be exact), so I'm celebrating a few days early with a launch party on September 24. If you're in or near the Pittsburgh area, please stop by--there will be good conversation, signed books for sale, food and drink, and cool giveaways (I promise).

Hope to see you there!

YA Guy Announces... Launch Week for SCAVENGER OF SOULS!

YA Guy's gearing up for the release of SCAVENGER OF SOULS on August 23, and I've finally scheduled two events for that week. Though I know that most readers of this blog don't live in Pittsburgh and aren't likely to be here in August, I figured I'd post the events anyway:

Launch party, Saturday, August 20, 2:00-5:00
Mystery Lovers Bookshop, 514 Allegheny River Blvd., Oakmont, PA 15139

Signing, Sunday, August 28, 2:00-4:00
Classic Lines Bookstore, 5825 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15217

If you're in town and can make it to either of these events, I'd love to have you!

YA Guy Looks Back on... His Debut Year!

The seventies rock group Boston wisely tells you, "Don't look back." (And Mark Twain or Satchel Paige or somebody like that says something similar.) But come on, this was YA Guy's debut year, and I can hardly avoid reviewing some of the highlights. No lowlights, though. I'm sure there were some, but they hardly matter next to how wonderful this year was for me as a writer!

YA Guy Celebrates... His SURVIVAL COLONY 9 Launch!

YA Guy's still reveling in the glow of my SURVIVAL COLONY 9 launch party. It was held at Mystery Lovers Bookshop near Pittsburgh, and the crowd literally spilled out into the street. The world-famous Oakmont Bakery (just across the street from the bookstore) crafted a replica book cake, and the bookstore chipped in lemonade and popcorn. A close high school friend who lives in California surprised me by showing up, as did a cousin who hails from Massachusetts. I read from my book, took questions, then signed people's copies till the wee hours. All in all, it was a great event, just the sort of thing I hoped and dreamed it would be.

Here are some pictures from the launch.

Thanks to everyone who was there with me, in person or in spirit. This has been an incredible journey, and I've loved sharing it with you!
